Wier Ranch is a family ranching operation, Marshall and Lezlie have family ranching histories in Texas and Nebraska that extend back over the generations. Lezlie's family has ranched in the Nebraska Sandhills and continue to raise good cattle and produce good ranch horses. Marshall's family began in 1860 to raise horses in central Texas along the Blanco River. In 1898 all the horses wearing the brand were sold to the Cage Bros. for $10,000, they gathered and moved over 1,000 horses. The family continues to have ranching interests in central Texas, raising cattle, horses and providing recreational opportunities on the ranches.
The ranching legacies that are little known yet common throughout the Western United States are similar to those of the Wier Ranch. It has been the enduring qualities and sacrifices made by past and present family members that have brought the Wier Ranch to its present place. The love of the land, the cattle and the horses has been reason enough to endure the good and bad times of nature and the economy.
Marshall and Lezlie feel blessed to be heirs to the heritage that has been passed down through the years, and continue to strive for the best in all areas of their operations. Wier Ranch has ranching , farming, real estate and other business interest in Texas and Nebraska. They are very serious in their desire to produce outstanding horses and are pleased to be able to offer to the public the outstanding stallions, Two Eyed Brazos and our running breed stallion Dashing Cartel by Corona Cartel, at a price that working people can afford.
